The National Honor Society is an organization governed by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). It promotes appropriate recognition for students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Huntsville High is one of thousands of schools who are chartered and are following the National Constitution set forth by the NASSP Board of Directors.
The charter of the HHS National Honor Society is dated 1936!!
There are currently 110 senior NHS members.
Students who have a 90.0 or above average in their core classes are eligible for membership during the spring of their junior year.
Evidence of leadership and character are evaluated using the following criteria set forth in the National Constitution.
